The conventions of a title sequence

The reason for a title sequence is to set tone for the film, getting the audience to understand what the film is about, giving us little to clues as to how the film is going to pan out but also not giving to much away. The title sequence I'm going to do is based on a thriller the typical conventions you will see in a thriller is.

  1. Mystery (not giving to much away) .
  2. The aftermath of a killing never the actual killing itself .
  3. Using remote and deserted areas as your start(master shot) the title sequence.
  4. keep the audience guessing and asking questions about your title sequence.
  5. make the film thrilling.

In a title sequence you also need to a members of staff

  1. producer(
  2. director
  3. exective producer
  4. characters
  5. the script writer
